Updated over a month ago

JoyCalls is an AI-powered calling service that helps caregivers stay connected with their loved ones through scheduled phone calls. Using a natural-sounding voice assistant named Joy, caregivers can set up friendly conversations or wellness check-ins for loved ones, who are usually seniors or individuals needing ongoing support.

Key Features

  • General Friendly Visit: General chat to uplift mood and provide companionship.

  • Memory Lane: Reminiscence-based prompts and gentle engagement.

  • Check In for Loved One: Ask specific health-related questions:

    • Have you taken your medication?

    • Have you eaten?

    • How do you feel today?

    • Rate your pain or happiness (1–10 scale).

Who It’s For

  • Caregivers (family, friends, professional aides)

  • Care Receivers (Loved Ones - typically seniors or vulnerable individuals)

Both registered users and unregistered callers can use inbound calling. Joy recognizes callers by phone number, and registered users enjoy deeper personalization over time.

How It Works

  1. Caregiver logs into the JoyCalls Home screen.

  2. Schedules a call (type, day/time).

  3. Joy makes the call and interacts with the loved one.

  4. Call results (e.g., wellness check answers) are recorded and viewable by the caregiver.

  5. Loved one can also call Joy directly at any time. Joy will answer with the same warm, natural voice β€” just like picking up a phone call from someone they know.
