Helping your loved one understand why Joy is calling can make a big difference in how they receive and respond to the experience. Joy Calls is designed to offer friendly conversation, wellness support, and peace of mind — not to replace human contact, but to gently supplement it.
How to Introduce Joy to Your Loved One
Explain that Joy is a voice companion who will be calling to check in regularly. These calls might include a quick hello, a reminder to take medication, or a general friendly chat about the loved one's favorite topic.
Reassure them that you are the one setting it up, and that Joy is calling because you care.
Let them know they can speak naturally, and Joy will do her best to listen and respond in kind.
Add Joy to their contacts list so the calls show up with her image and name.
Use the Try Now Button Together
Use the Try Now feature to demonstrate what a Joy Call will sound like before the regular schedule begins.
From the Home screen, locate a scheduled Joy Call.
Click the Try Now button below the call.
Fill in your phone number to have it call you.
Joy will immediately place a call using the selected conversation type.
💬 This is a perfect opportunity to sit with your loved one, put the call on speaker, and help guide the interaction.
