1. Do I need to install anything to use Joy Calls?
No. Joy Calls works entirely over the phone—no apps or special devices are required for the care receiver.
2. Can Joy Call a landline?
Yes. Joy can call both mobile phones and landlines.
3. Can I schedule calls for different times each day?
Yes. You can schedule calls for specific times and choose whether they repeat daily or weekly -- including multiple days of the week. During beta review period, you can have up to 5 Active Scheduled Calls. You can pause a Scheduled Call so that it doesn't count against the total.
4. What happens if the loved one doesn’t answer?
Joy will try to complete the call at the scheduled time. If she reaches voicemail, she will wait 5 minutes and try again. If Joy again reaches voicemail, she will then try one last time. You can view the missed call in your Home screen, on the Results tab.
5. How do I know how the call went?
After each call, you’ll be able to review a summary of the responses on your Home screen, on the Results tab. A transcript is available. For calls in the last 7 days, the audio recording is also available.
6. Is the care receiver's information secure?
Yes. We follow strict privacy practices. Only authorized caregivers can view call results and care receiver information.
7. What if there's an emergency?
If Joy detects an urgent issue, she cannot call 911 for your Loved One. She will encourage your Loved One to call 911 and will hang up so they can. If you have SMS notifications enabled, Joy will send you a text noting it is urgent.
8. Can I add more than one care receiver?
Not at this time. We will be adding that feature in the near future. Soon you will be able to add multiple care receivers under one caregiver account.
9 . Can I cancel or reschedule a call?
Yes. Simply go to your Home screen / Scheduled Calls tab, find the scheduled call, and choose to edit or delete it. You can also pause it to make it easy to resume.
10. What if Joy misunderstands the care receiver?
Joy is designed to handle common responses, but if something seems off, you can review the summary and make adjustments for future calls.
11. How much does Joy Calls cost?
