How to Set Up a Joy Calls Account

Create a Joy Calls account in minutes using your name, email, and password (or Google/Facebook). Set up your care receiver in two steps.

📝 Step by Step Instructions: Create Your Caregiver Account

You can sign up in one of three ways:

  • Using your Google account

  • Using your Facebook account

  • Or by entering your Full Name, Email, and Password

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be guided through a quick setup process. Next, you'll tell us about the person you want Joy will be calling.


👤 Step 1: Tell Us About Your Loved One

You’ll be asked to enter:

  • First Name & Last Name

  • Phone Number (mobile or landline)

  • Zip Code or City, State

  • (Optional) Birthday

The zip code or City, State information helps Joy know the local time for scheduled calls, and adds a personal touch to the experience.


💬 Step 2: Personalize the Conversation (Optional)

To make Joy’s calls more meaningful, you can optionally share:

  • Favorite interests (e.g., flower gardening, golden retrievers)

  • Family members to mention

  • Topics to avoid (e.g., politics, stressful news)

These preferences shape Joy’s tone, content, and conversation topics.


📞 Step 3: Create Your First Joy Call

Choose the type of call and when you'd like it to occur:

Call Type Options:

  • General Friendly Visit

  • General Wellness Check

  • Medication Check

  • Pain and Happiness Check

  • Meal Check

  • Memory Lane

Recurrence Type: Daily (every day of the week) or Weekly (pick the days of the week)
Time: Choose any time that works best for your loved one. (it will be their local time)
Your Phone Number (optional): So we can text you a summary of calls or just when there is something urgent.

  • To receive texts, you must check the box acknowledging acceptance.

Finally, click Schedule to complete setup!
