This article will help you move the ONSCREEN device and set it up at your loved one's house.

A lot of our customers want to try out the product at their home, before they set it up for their loved ones (parents, grandparents, etc). This is perfectly fine, and it's easy to resolve this.

Option 1 - You will be going to the new location for the install

Once you've finished trying out ONSCREEN at your home, and you're ready to move it to your loved one, you should "reset" the device. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Note which HDMI port the ONSCREEN is plugged into in your TV (1-4)

  2. On the mobile app, from the Caregiver tab, click "Settings"

  3. Then scroll to the bottom

  4. Find "Reset ONSCREEN Device" and tap this option

  5. Wait until the ONSCREEN resets, and it shows the "Let's Connect Your Network" screen again.

  6. At the final location, connect the ONSCREEN device (HDMI Out to TV's HDMI port 1-4 saved in step 1). Power it on.

  7. The TV should display "Let's connect your network". You Mobile app will give you the WiFi information screen.

  8. Fill in the WiFi information and you will get a QR Code to show to the ONSCREEN camera.

  9. Check the CEC settings on the new TV and any Power On settings you need.

Option 2 - Someone else will install it at your loved one's residence

Go through the steps to reset the device on the mobile app. Once the installer has set up the device at your loved one's home, the TV displays "Let's Connect Your Network".
On the TV, the installer needs to plug the ONSCREEN into a port (same number as the one at your residence is easiest if available). The installer should use the TV's remote to switch to that HDMI Port.

  1. He will see "Let's connect your Network".

  2. Now using the ONSCREEN remote, use the up and down arrow keys and the Enter button to select the right network from the list shown on the right of the TV Screen.

  3. A keyboard will show up and using the direction arrows and enter button, put in the WiFi password. Go to the Next/Done button on the TV keyboard and select that.

  4. The TV should connect to WiFi and show "Let's connect your Account".

  5. On the Mobile app, at your home, you should see the WiFi info form. Go to the bottom of that and tap "I'm using ethernet". A QR Code will appear.

  6. Screenshot that and text to the installer. Showing that to the ONSCREEN camera connects it.

  7. Check the CEC settings on the new TV and any Power On settings you need.

Now you'll be able to enter new WiFi info and connect the device.
