Who can start a Zoom Meeting?

Only the 'owner' of a Spark or Moment can start a Zoom meeting. If the "owner" uses Family Share to share the unit with someone else, that person can also start a Zoom Meeting.

What do I need to start a Zoom Meeting?

You will need an actual Zoom account. This can be paid or free, and the Zoom account determines the features according to Zoom's policies. For instance, a free account can only have meetings that last 45 minutes. The Zoom account is completely created on Zoom's website and is different than your ONSCREEN account.

How to Log In the first time

The log in for Zoom is done the first time you want to start a meeting.

  1. From Home, click "Zoom" tab on the bottom of the screen

  2. Click "Log in to Start a Meeting"

  3. A pop up will ask if allow ONSCREEN to use Zoom.us to log in, click Continue

  4. You will now be on Zoom's website. It will show you the Zoom account your phone is logged into, or allow you to sign in to your Zoom account if you need to.

  5. You can select the checkbox to "Allow this app to use my shared access permissions".

  6. Click the "Allow" button

You will be returned to the ONSCREEN app on the Zoom tab and in a few seconds you will see your email show under the word "Zoom". You can log out of Zoom with the link below that.

Starting a Meeting

The button will change from "Log in to Start a Meeting" to just "Start a Meeting". At this point, you can start an instant meeting by clicking this button. Your Zoom account settings for instant meetings will apply (whether you use a random meeting id or the same one; whether you require everyone to be in a waiting lobby or can directly enter; etc).

Starting a Scheduled Meeting

To start a scheduled meeting, you will need to give ONSCREEN permission to view your calendar. Scheduled meetings will show on the Zoom tab. If it is a meeting scheduled by you, selecting it will start the meeting. If it is not scheduled by you, ONSCREEN will try to join the meeting.
